Effect analysis of Huatengzi granules combined with loratadine tablets in the treatment of urticaria
Objective To explore the efficacy of Huatengzi granules combined with loratadine tablets in the treatment of urticaria.Methods This study was a prospective randomized controlled analysis involving 92 patients with urticaria admitted to the hospital from March 2022 to June 2023 as the study subjects.They were randomly assigned in a 1∶1 ratio to loratadine tablets(control group)or Huatengzi granules+loratadine tablets(observation group)for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy,symptom scores,immune function indicators(serum immunoglobulin E[IgE],complement component 3[C3],C4,eosinophil count[EOS],C-reactive protein[CRP]),incidence of adverse reactions,and short-term recurrence rate were assessed.Results After 2 weeks of treatment,the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of itching,number of urticaria wheals,and degree of redness in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group.Significantly decreased IgE,EOS,and CRP,and increased C3 and C4 in both groups were detected than those before treatment,with significant differences between groups(P＜0.05).There was no statistical significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment(P＞0.05).After a 6-week follow-up,the short-term recurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(X2=4.870,P=0.027).Conclusion Compared to loratadine tablets alone,the combination of Huatengzi granules has a better therapeutic effect on urticaria,which can effectively improve clinical symptoms,it has certain immune regulatory effects and can reduce short-term recurrence rate,and with higher safety.
