The impact of nebulized inhalation of Bairun peptide antibacterial solution combined with home management in preventing the incidence of aspiration pneumonia in first-episode stroke patients
Objective To analyze the value of nebulized inhalation of Bairun peptide antibacterial solution combined with home management in preventing the occurrence of aspiration pneumonia in first-episode stroke patients.Methods This study included 88 first-episode stroke patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were enrolled and grouped in a 1:1 using a random number table method.All patients were managed by home management of 0.9％saline,those in the observation group were additionally given nebulized inhalation of Bairun peptide antibacterial solution.The incidence of aspiration pneumonia,oral bacterial count,and oral condition,sports function,self-care ability,and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results The incidence of aspiration pneumonia in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(9.09％vs 27.27％,P＜0.05).After 2 weeks of intervention,the oral bacterial count in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After 3 months of intervention,the Barthel index and Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)score of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).After 3 months of intervention,the 36-item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)score in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion For first-episode stroke patients,the use of nebulized inhalation of Bairun peptide antibacterial solution combined with home management can effectively suppress oral bacterial count,reduce the risk of aspiration pneumonia,and it has a positive effect on improving patients'self-care ability.It has a positive effect on the rehabilitation of motor function and the improvement of quality of life.
