Epidemiological characteristics of injury cases from Surveillance Sentinel Hospitals in Hebei Province,2017-2021
Objective To illustrate the epidemiological characteristics of injury cases in Hebei province from surveillance sentinel hospitals,and to provide basis for marking targeted prevention and control measures.Methods Clinical data of first-time injury cases in the emergency department of nine sentinel hospitals in three national injury surveillance hospitals of Hebei province from January 2017 to December 2021 were analyzed.Results From 2017 to 2021,a total of 248001 injury cases were recorded in the Hebei surveillance sentinel hospitals.The male-to-female was 1.49:1,and injury cases mostly occurred in the age group of 25-64 years(58.46%).The top five injuries causes were falling(48.52%),traffic injuries by motor vehicles(13.05%),blunt injuries(12.50%),pointed instrument injuries(11.33%)and non-motor vehicle accidents(6.43%).Falling was the leading cause of injury in all age groups.Time for the injuries was regularly distributed.Conclusion Falling,traffic injuries by motor vehicles,blunt injuries,pointed instrument injuries and non-motor vehicle accidents are the main reasons of residents injuries in Hebei province.The main victims are the youths and adults.Targeted injury prevention and control measures should be taken for different populations and causes to reduce the occurrence of injuries.
