Clinical value of individualized nursing intervention in patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo combined with associated comorbidities
Objective To explore the nursing strategies of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV)combined with associated comorbidities. Methods From January to December 2019,210 BPPV patients were selected, including 37 patients with BPPV without comorbidities(control group),and 173 BPPV patients combined with associated comorbidities(experimental group).Patients in the control group and the experimental group were treated with conventional nursing and an individualized nursing, respectively. The curative effect, recurrence rate and quality of life improvement were compared between the two groups. Results There were 173 and 37 cases of experimental group and control group, respectively. There were no significant differences in the total effective rate(97.1%vs 100%,P>0.05)and recurrent rate(11.5%vs 10.8%,P>0.05)between the experimental group and the control group. The difference was statistically significant in the Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)scores before and after nursing intervention between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized nursing provides nursing benefits to BPPV patients with associated comorbidities, with the specific, exact and clear nursing procedures. It may improve the quality of life and nursing satisfaction.
