Effect of Neuman theory-guided intervention on self-efficacy and compliance behavior in patients with chronic heart failure
Objective To explore the effect of Neuman theory-guided nursing intervention on self-efficacy and compliance behavior in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 110 CHF patients admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were randomly divided into control group(routine nursing intervention,n=55)and observation group(Neuman theory-guided nursing intervention,n=55).The general self-efficacy scale(GSEs),compliance behavior, activities of daily living(ADL),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),cardiac function,Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ(APACHEⅡ),quality of life score and nursing satisfaction rate were observed in the two groups. Results The quality of life,ADL and GSES scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, but the poor compliance behavior of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The cardiac function,APACHE Ⅱ,PSQI,SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Neuman theory-guided nursing intervention in CHF patients can effectively improve self-efficacy,daily living ability, reduce negative mood, sleep quality, and poor compliance behavior, improve their cardiac function, with a significant effect.
