Application value of two different kinds of health education in postpartum breastfeeding
Objective To explore the application value of 321 health education mode versus trans-theoretical model(TTM)-based health education in postpartum breastfeeding. Methods A total of 120 women in late pregnancy who underwent antenatal examinations in Shenzhen 11th People's Hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into experimental group(60 cases, receiving 321 health education)and control group(60 cases, receiving TTM-based health education)between January and December 2022.The mastery of postpartum breastfeeding knowledge, breastfeeding situation, breastfeeding self-confidence,general well-being,nursing satisfaction,as well as neonatal blood glucose, bilirubin, growth and development were included as comparisons between groups. Results After nursing, mastery rate of breastfeeding knowledge, breastfeeding rate, scores of breastfeeding self-confidence,general well-being(GWB)and overall nursing satisfaction with health education in experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05).The neonatal blood glucose in experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group at 24h after birth(P<0.05),the bilirubin level was significantly lower than that of control group at 42d after birth(P<0.05),and the body weight was significantly heavier than that of control group at 42d and 6 months after birth(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with 321 health education mode, the application of TTM-based health education can improve postpartum breastfeeding rate, increase maternal breastfeeding confidence and GWB,with higher nursing satisfaction and neonatal health level.
