Interaction effect between CYP1A1 and GSTP1 gene polymorphisms with embryo arrest
Objective To analyze the interaction effect between polymorphisms in cytochrome P450 A1(CYP1A1)and glutathione S-transferase pi 1(GSTP1)genes with embryo arrest. Methods Randomized 50 pregnant women diagnosed as embryo arrest in our hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were the study group, and 50 pregnant women with normal pregnancy history with induced abortion in our hospital in the same period were the control group. The baseline data, risk factors and characteristics of life information of pregnant women,DNA polycyclic aromatics-related metabolic enzyme cytochrome P450 1A1(PCYP1A1)GSTP1 gene polymorphisms were collected for analysis. Results The inter-group difference in baseline data, ventilation of the house, type of cooking fuel,no decoration history within three years, whether or no chemical factory nearby, eating seafood during pregnancy, eating vegetables and fruits during pregnancy, family decoration or buying furniture within one year, and whether or no often eat fried and barbecue food during pregnancy were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The proportion of GG distribution in CYP1A1 genotype and GSTP1 genotype in the study group were significantly higher than the control group(bothP<0.05).CYP1A1 polymorphism may increase the risk of arrest in Logistic regression model, but no interaction was found(P<0.05).Conclusion Polymorphisms of related metabolic enzymes CYP1A1 and GSTP1 may increase the risk of embryo arrest,However,no interaction between the two and those occurring is observed.
