Effect of high-quality intervention in the operating room on postoperative pain in patients with thoracolumbar fractures
Objective To explore the effect of high-quality intervention in the operating room on postoperative pain in patients with thoracolumbar fractures. Methods A total of 60 patients with thoracolumbar fractures admitted from January 2022 to January 2023 were randomly selected and assigned into the observation group(n=30,hig-quality nursing in the operating room)and control group(n=30,routine nursing care)according to the digital table method. The perioperative indicators, pain(the Numerical Rating Scale[NRS]),lumbar function(the Oswestry Disability Index[ODI])and quality of life(the General Quality of Life Inventory-74[GQOLI-74])were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. The incidence of complications was compared between the two groups. Results The time of off-bed activities, time of pain disappearance, and length of hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).The NRS scores of resting pain and active pain in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the ODI scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention, which were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the GQOLI-74 scores of physical function, psychological function and social function of the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, which were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in health status scores between the two groups after intervention(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion High-quality intervention in the operating room is beneficial to reduce the pain of patients with thoracolumbar fractures, accelerate postoperative recovery, protect lumbar function and improve the quality of life, which has a positive significance.
