Clinical application of magnetic capsule endoscopy
Objective To retrospectively analyze the clinical application of magnetic capsule endoscopy combined with electronic gastroscope,including screening and analysis of common diseases of stomach and small intestine.Methods A total of 910 patients receiving magnetic capsule endoscopy in Hebei General Hospital from September 2018 to August 2022 were collected.The diagnostic accuracy of magnetic capsule endoscopy was analyzed.In addition,910 patients with varying age groups were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into four groups according to seasons,and the differences in the incidence of different diseases were analyzed.Results Among 910 patients,465 patients underwent electronic gastroscopy within 3 months.There was a significance in the diagnostic coincidence rate of the esophagus by magnetic capsule endoscopy(P＞0.05),while no significant difference was found in the diagnostic coincidence rate of the stomach and duodenum(P＜0.05).In addition,a retrospective analysis of 910 patients showed significant differences in the detection rates of some diseases among different age groups(P＜0.05),most of which were found in the middle-aged and elderly group.Retrospective statistical analysis by gender groups showed that the detection rates of chronic non-atrophic gastritis and gastric polyp in males were significantly lower than those in females(P＜0.05).The detection rates of reflux esophagitis,duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer in females were significantly lower than those in males(P＜0.05).Statistical analysis was performed on the small intestine examination of 910 patients,among which the detection rate of small intestine masses,small intestine hemorrhage,small intestine multiple lymphatic vessel dilatation,ileum multiple lymphatic follicular hyperplasia,small enteritis,and multiple vascular dilatation was 3/910,2/910,289/910,216/910,26/910 and 1/910,respectively.Conclusion The diagnostic rate of magnetic capsule endoscopy in gastric examination and duodenal examination is similar to the electronic gastroscopy,but the diagnosis of esophagus is different from that of electronic gastroscopy.A retrospective analysis of 910 patients undergoing gastric examination showed that the incidence of diseases in the middle-aged and elderly is higher,and the incidence of gastric diseases in males is higher than that in females,which can be used for the screening of stomach diseases.Magnetic capsule endoscopy can also be used for the diagnosis of small intestinal diseases.
