Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of laryngeal massage therapy plus edaravone and dexborneol on stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods A total of 88 stroke patients with dysphagia from November 2021 to October 2022 were included and randomly divided into the observation group and control group using a random number table method, with 44 cases in each group. Both groups received routine swallowing function training, while the observation group received additional throat massage therapy plus edaravone and dexborneol. Before and 4 weeks after treatment, the improvements of swallowing function in two groups were evaluated using the Eating Assessment Tool-10(EAT-10),the Standard Swallowing Function Assessment Scale(SSA),and the Wada Drinking Water Test(WST).Results There were significant differences in the EAT-10 score,SSA score, and overall efficacy of WST before and after treatment in both groups(P<0.05).After treatment, the EAT-10 score,SSA score, and overall efficacy of WST in the observation group were significantly superior to those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Throat massage therapy plus edaravone and dexborneol can significantly improve swallowing function in stroke patients, and this therapy is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
