Effectiveness of respiratory training under intensive management on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treated with nebulized inhalation and its effect on lung function and compliance
Objective To explore the effect of respiratory training under intensive management on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)treated with nebulized inhalation. Methods A total of 86 COPD patients admitted from September 2021 to December 2022 were included, and they were divided into the control group(n=43,conventional respiratory training)and research group(n=43,respiratory training under intensive management).Pulmonary function indexes,St.George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)scores, time to the disappearance of breath-holding,time to the disappearance of lung rhonchi, length of stay, and patient compliance were compared between groups. Results Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in lung function indexes between the two groups(P>0.05),and after the intervention, all lung function indexes in the research group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the SGRQ scores between the two groups(P>0.05),and after the intervention,SGRQ scores in the control group were significantly higher than those of the research group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the time to disappear of breathlessness, the time to disappear of pulmonary rales, and length of stay were significantly shorter in the research group than the control group(P<0.05).The patient compliance was significantly higher in the research group than the control group(95.35%vs 58.14%,P<0.05).Conclusion Breathing training under intensive management for COPD patients can help improve pulmonary function recovery, shorten length of stay and improve patient compliance, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
