Effects of Compound Fertilizer Combined with Biochar on Agronomic Traits and Yield of Winter Wheat in Eastern Hebei Province
The study on the winter wheat cultivation technology with compound fertilizer combined with biochar could provide theoretical reference for reducing the amount and increasing the efficiency of fertilizer in winter wheat in eastern Hebei province.Taking winter wheat"Zhongmai 886"as the material, the effects of compound fertilizer combined with biochar on the agronomic traits and yield of winter wheat were studied with three biochar levels(main area;0(B1),7 500(B2),and 15 000 kg/hm2(B3))and four compound fertilizer levels(secondary area;0(F1),225(F2),450(F3),and 675 kg/hm2(F4)).The results showed that B3F3 treatment led to the highest plant height of winter wheat at the flowering stage(73.59 cm),followed by B2F3(72.79 cm).B2F3 treatment resulted in the highest number of ears, which was 2.75%higher than that under B1F4 treatment.Without biochar application, the yield of wheat increased with increasing compound fertilizer application rate. With the same amount of biochar application, the wheat yield increased and then decreased with increasing compound fertilizer application rate. With the same amount of compound fertilizer application, the wheat yield increased and then decreased with increasing biochar application. The wheat yield was the highest under B2F3 treatment(7 600.35 kg/hm2),which was 10.61%higher than that under B1F4 treatment. The results indicated that the number of ears and yield of winter wheat significantly increased when compound fertilizer combined with biochar decreased, therefore, the optimized fertilization combination in Eastern Hebei Province is 450 kg/hm2 of compound fertilizer combined with 7 500 kg/hm2 of biochar.
