Objective:To explore the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(BYHWD)combined with moxibustion on blood hyper-coagulability in advanced gastric cancer. Methods:A total of 70 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 35 patients in each group. Both groups received anti-tumor and supportive symptomatic treat-ment,while the treatment group also received BYHWD combined with moxibustion. The treatment cycle was 21 days, and both groups were treated for 2 cycles. The changes in prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),fibrinogen(FIB),D-dimer(D-D),and platelet(PLT)levels before and after treatment were compared.Additionally, improvements in Chinese medicine symptoms and quality of life(assessed using the Karnofsky Performance Scale,KPS)were evaluated. Results:After treat-ment,the PT and APTT values in the treatment group increased, while the FIB,PLT,and D-D values decreased. Both the inter-group and intra-group comparisons showed statistical significance(P<0.05).The improvement in Chinese medicine symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(Z=-2.572,P<0.05).Additionally,after treatment, the KPS score in the treatment group improved, and the therapeutic effect was better than that in the control group(Z=-2.262,P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of BYHWD and moxibustion can alleviate the hypercoagulable state of blood in patients with advanced gastric cancer, and also contributes to improving qi deficiency and blood stasis syndromes as well as the quality of life, demonstrating good clinical efficacy.
