Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compound for regulating spleen and kidney in the treatment of primary osteoporosis(POP).Methods:A total of 60 patients with POP were randomly divided into a con-trol group(30 patients)and a treatment group(30 patients).The control group received conventional comprehensive treatment,while the treatment group received the same treatment as the control group with the addition of the TCM compound for regulating spleen and kidney.The bone mineral density(BMD),serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP),hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB),serum calcium(Ca),serum phosphorus(P),and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate in the treat-ment group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the serum ALP levels decreased in both groups,with the treatment group showing a lower level than the control group(P＜0.05);Hb,ALB and BMD all increased in both groups,with the treatment group demonstrating higher levels in these three indicators compared to the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The TCM compound for regulating spleen and kidney exhibits a clear therapeutic effect in the treatment of POP,effectively regulating serum ALP,Hb,and ALB levels,and improving BMD.
