Objective:To investigate the efficacy of Jianpi Yiqi Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of diabetes mellitus(DM)complicated with osteoporosis(OP)and its effects on 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25-(OH)D],β-CrossLaps(β-CTX),and Preadipocyte Factor 1(Pref-1).Methods:A total of 206 patients with DM complicated with OP who were treated at Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group(con-ventional treatment)and a study group(combined with Jianpi Yiqi Huoxue Decoction),with 101 patients in each group.The efficacy,adverse reactions,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,bone mineral density(BMD),serum 25-(OH)D,β-CTX,and Pref-1 levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores for low back pain,weakness/muscle and joint tingling pain,dry mouth and thirst,as well as the levels of β-CTX and Pref-1 decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the decreases were more signifi-cant in the study group compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The serum 25-(OH)D levels and BMD at L24,femoral neck,and greater trochanter increased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the results were higher in the study group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Jianpi Yiqi Huoxue Decoction for the treatment of DM complicated with OP can effectively improve patients'symptoms and serum levels of 25-(OH)D,β-CTX,and Pref-1,regulate bone metabolism,increase BMD,and enhance therapeutic efficacy.
