Topographic Feature Line Extraction Based on Micro Geomorphologic Features
Terrain feature line is an important regional dividing line in the study of landform and geological haz-ards,which is usually extracted by GIS software.Aiming at the problems of complicated follow-up processing of terrain feature lines extracted by traditional methods and narrow applicability of algorithm,a new method of extrac-ting terrain feature lines based on high-resolution grid digital elevation model(DEM)is proposed based on image processing technology. The algorithm combines morphological features and refers to the geometric form of terrain feature lines.Besides, the algorithm decomposes the line segments into various configurations from the perspective of micro geomorphology, and applies them to the extraction process.Meanwhile, the algorithm optimizes the exist-ing methods to extract the feature lines fast. The results show that the extracted feature lines are basically consist-ent with the actual terrain feature lines, including the reservoir edge and the large wide valley and other flat ter-rain edges.Compared with other algorithms, the extraction efficiency of this method is improved, and a new di-rection is proposed to solve the problems of traditional methods.
