Regular Understanding of Domestic Social Ideologies over the Past Decade—Based on Annual Surveys of Social Ideologies
One of the main areas of concern in the construction of ideologies is social ideological trends.Analyzing and effectively guiding those trends is a key aspect of strengthening and enhancing ideological work.Long concern in the constrevolution and changing trends of social ideology helps in making effectively judge-ments about the phased priorities of ideological construction.Over the past decade,domestic social trends in China have generally been characterized by a diverse range of trends with broad coverage.Representative social trends jave occurred frequently and ahave shown high relevance to social hot topics and events.In terms of specific changes,the influence og social trends advocating"Westernization",such as neoliberalism,constitu-tionalism,and universal values,has significantly declined.Social trends strongly influenced by the internation-al environment,such as nationalism and populism,have risen in prominence.Overall,there is an increasing focus and attention on social trends that are more closely related to daily life,such as consumerism,entertain-ment culture,online populism,ecologism,and feminism.These overall trends reflect some positive changes,such as the unprecedented expansion of consensus on the path to Chinese-style modernization and the strengthening of national identity and confidence among the people.They also support General Secretary Xi Jingping's conclusion that there has been a comprehensive and fundamental change in the ideological field.At the same time,in guilding social trends in the next phase,attention should also be paid to emerging trendencies and new issues,which should become the focal point of social trend analysis and research in the new era.
