As an important node of urban-rural integration and development,county society can be re-garded as a practice field linking city and countryside,and a social form combining the characteristics of city and township.County society can be used as a research method to rediscover the feasibility of studying urban and rural society with county as the basic unit,provide a middle-level perspective for observing urban and ru-ral integration and regional coordinated development,and further expand the relevant research topics and theo-retical paradigms of county sociology.County urban-rural integration development should be based on multiple implications such as integrity,independence,regionalism and interactivity carried by county society.The in-tegrity of county society should lead the concept of urban-rural integration,the independence of county society should empower urban and rural social governance,the development strategy should be formulated based on the regional classification of county society,and the urban-rural interaction mechanism should be reconstituted based on the interaction of county society.Accelerate the theoretical and practical innovation of the integrated development of urban and rural areas at the county level.
