Critical Examination of Materialist Historical Perspective in Contemporary Western Ecological Philosophies
With the rise of contemporary Western ecological philosophies,scholars in China have organ-ized the translation and introduction of various contemporary Western ecological philosophical works,including environmental ethics,environmental philosophy,ecological historiography,and ecological Marxism,and have conducted academic research on related issues.Through the lens of the materialist historical perspective,this study reflects on the academic histories of both China and the Western countri,showcasing the reflective or-ganization and its unique research value.On one hand,contemporary Western ecological philosophies have made significant academic contributions to the construction of an ecological worldview and methodology that emphasizes harmony between humans and nature.On the other hand,they exhibit substantial theoretical defi-ciencies due to a lack of a scientific historical perspective,especially regarding practical viewpoints.This cri-tique highlights the innovative sublation of the materialist historical perspective and its unique research ap-proach.Under the historical conditions of the new era,through a critical transcendence of the materialist his-torical perspective,this study sims to deeply explore and consciously demonstrate the ecological perspectives,theoretical space,and practical character of Marx's materialist historical perspective,striving for unique aca-demic innovation in this analysis.
