The development of mushroom industry using reed straw as the substrate is an effective way to pro-mote the transformation and upgrading of the reed industry.Using the SWOT analysis method,the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities,and challenges of the development of mushroom industry using reed straw in Hebei Province were analyzed.A SWOT matrix for the development of characteristic mushroom industry using reed straw was constructed.The suggestions were proposed such as strengthening industry university research coopera-tion to provide technical support for industrial development,cultivating leading enterprises and driving the de-velopment of the mushroom industry using reed straw,continuously monitoring market demand and enhancing the brand competitiveness of reed mushroom.
