Effect of Zinc Fertilizer Application on Tomato Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement
In order to screen the best zinc fertilizer application method for tomato,two zinc fertilizer application methods were tested:bottom application and foliar spraying.The zinc fertilizer application amount for each ap-plication method was set at two levels(22.5 kghm2 and 30 kg/hm2).The effects of different fertilization treat-ments on the growth,yield,fruit quality,and economic benefits of tomato were studied with no zinc fertilizer treatment as the blank control(CK).The results showed that the application of zinc fertilizer had a significant effect on the yield and quality improvement of tomato.Among them,the plant height,stem diameter,and SPAD value of foliar spraying of 30.0 kg/hm2 zinc fertilizer were significantly higher than those of other treat-ments,Compared with CK,the single fruit weight of this treatment increased by 15.06％,soluble sugar,Vc content,and total zinc content increased by 33.56％,27.07％and 140.89％,receptively,the nitrate content de-creased by 40.89％,the yield increased by 17.03％,and the income increased by 19.27％.The highest yield,quality,and economic benefits of tomato could be achieved by foliar spraying of 30.0 kg/hm2 zinc fertilizer.
