Indoor Identification of Cotton Germplasms Resistance to Rhizoctonia solani
In order to cultivate new cotton varieties resistant to Rhizoctonia solani,350 cotton germplasm were identified through indoor inoculation with R.solani, and the incidence of bacterial wilt disease was investigated to screen for germplasm with high resistance to it.The identification results showed that the average dis-ease index of 350 germplasm had a maximum value of 63.00 and a minimum value of 7.91,and the variation coefficient of disease index among germplasm was 36.29%.There were significant differences in the resistance to R.solani among different germplasm.Among the tested germplasm, there is no germplasm that showed immunity to R.solani.There are 86 resistant germplasm, accounting for 24.6%of the total identified germplasm, including 6 highly resistant germplasm. The screened resistant germplasm could provide basic germplasm information for cotton disease resistance breeding and research on disease resistance mechanism.
