The"Fürst der Welt"is an artistic image in medieval European visual arts that incorporates various con-cepts.It first emerged in the late 13th century and was replaced by new artistic styles by the late 14th century.Al-though its popularity was relatively short-lived,the artistic expression it established provided a foundation for the interpretation of subsequent images.In this process,literary art constructed the visual characteristics of this image and a culturally accepted foundation.From a historical perspective,the visual and textual aspects of the image shared the same spiritual basis,reflecting a tragic aesthetic of lamenting the transience of the world inherited from the ancient world and the narrative concepts of medieval spiritual culture.
