The Value of Vitamin K,Rapid CRP and WBC in the Diagnosis of Diarrhea Infection in Children
Objective To investigate the value of vitamin K,rapid C-reactive protein(CRP)and white blood cell count(WBC)in the diagnosis of diarrhea infection in children. Methods Ninety children with diarrhea admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected and divided into bacterial diarrhea group(n=58),viral diarrhea group(n=17)and non infectious diarrhea group(n=15)according to the different pathogens.Ninety healthy people in the same period were se-lected as the control group. The levels of vitamin K,CRP and WBC in each group were compared, and the diagnostic value of the above indicators for the type of diarrhea infection in children was evaluated. Results The levels of CRP and WBC in diarrhea group were higher than those in control group, while the levels of vitamin K in diarrhea group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05);After treatment, the levels of CRP and WBC were lower than those before treatment, and the levels of vitamin K were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05);CRP and WBC levels in bacterial diarrhea group were higher than those in viral diarrhea group and non infectious diarrhea group, while vitamin K levels were lower than those in viral diarrhea group and non infectious diarrhea group(P<0.05);CRP and WBC levels in viral diarrhea group were higher than those in non infectious diarrhea group, while vitamin K levels were lower than those in non infectious diarrhea group(P<0.05);The positive rates of CRP,WBC and vitamin K in bacterial diarrhea group were higher than those in viral diar-rhea group and non infectious diarrhea group(P<0.05);The levels of CRP,WBC and Vitamin K and the ROC curve of their combined diagnosis for children with bacterial diarrhea and non bacterial diarrhea showed that the best cut-off values of CRP,WBC and Vitamin K were 5.13 mg/L and 11.06 respectively×At 109/L and 0.081 ng/mL,the AUC of combined diagno-sis was 0.776,which was higher than that of single diagnosis(0.685,0.682,0.693,P<0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of vitamin K,CRP and WBC has certain clinical significance in the diagnosis of bacterial diarrhea and non bacterial diar-rhea in children.
