Taking Ideological and Political Education in College English Teaching:Dilemma and Optimization Path
Effective implementation of courses for ideological and political education can promote curriculum development and contribute to the realization of course objectives and cultivation of talents.The aim of college English teaching is to implement effective courses for ideological and political education.At present,college English teaching may face many challenges when implementing ideological and political education:lack of ideological and political elements in English textbooks,lack of relevant awareness,teaching ability and evaluation capabilities on the part of English teachers,insufficient coordination between English teachers and ideological and political teachers.To address these challenges,it is proposed to improve the quality of English teaching materials in terms of ideological and political elements,to enhance college English teachers'awareness of ideological and political education,as well as their teaching and evaluation abilities,to establish a community for taking ideological and political education in college English teaching,and to achieve coordinated talent cultivation.
