A Study on the Cultural Differences and Metaphorical Translation of the Two English Translations of Teahouse
Driven by the process of globalization,cross-cultural communication has become a norm.As a carrier of culture,language translation is an important means of cross-cultural communication.However,due to the differences in various cultures,translation activities are not easy,especially for literary works with specific cultural connotations.Only obtaining a deep cultural background knowledge can translators accurately convey the meaning of the original text.Translation is not only a transformation of language,but also a transmission of culture.This article takes Mr.Lao She's Teahouse as an example to explore the cultural differences and metaphorical translation issues between the two English translations,which strengthens the study of cultural differences.
