On the Development of the Legalism View of Equality in the Pre-Qin Dynasty
Although there are many studies on the concept of equality in the Pre-Qin Dynasty,while there is less research on the historical evolution of the Legalism view of equality.After sorting out the development process of legalism concept of equality,it is found that the development of legalism is divided into three stages including three issues:the subject attribution in the early legalism,the maintenance in the middle stage,and the systematization by the later legalism.Han Fei integrated and sublimated the predecessors'theories,presenting the tendency towards rigidity and authoritarianism due to the times.The theory of pre-Qin legalism gets improved with the discussion of these three issues.
