A Comparative Study on the English Translation of Culture-Loaded Words in The Peach Blossom Fan in the View of Cultural Translation Theory
Translating cultural classics is viewed as an important step to make Chinese culture go abroad.As a legendary drama of Qing Dynasty,The Peach Blossom Fan contains a large number of cultural-loaded words related to Chinese cultural traditions and social life,etc.Through a comparative analysis on two English versions of The Peach Blossom Fan,this paper explores the translation of classics from the perspective of cultural translation theory and contributes to promoting traditional culture towards the world.
