In the Tang Dynasty,Dazuorong and his son established political power in Northeast China.Xuanzong conferred Dazuorong the title of King of Balhae County,and the regime was named Balhae from then on.In the early Han Dynasty,Bohai County was set up in Fuyang.The two places are called"Bohai"in the historical records,and the people of both places can be called Bohai people.However,Balhae people are mistakenly identified as Bohai people in the Central Plains.Seen from his reputation,political career,life traces we can see that Gao Yuanyu is not from Balhae country in Heilongjiang area,but belongs to Bohai Gao clans in the central Plains.
