This paper analyzes trauma narrative in Sam Shepard's The Buried Child from the perspective of dramatic conflict,and proposes that trauma narrative aims at narrating its specific causes of formation and emergency performance after trauma.Trauma hurts people not only physically but also psychologically.This paper analyzes the historical trauma of war,family trauma,inner trauma of characters and interpersonal trauma in Sam Shepard's dramas through the conflict between man and environment,inner conflicts and interpersonal conflicts.The paper urges people to reflect on family conflicts and hope to build a loving and happy family.
