The Promotion Paths and Countermeasures of China—Central Asia Agricultural Cooperation from the Perspective of the "Belt and Road" Initiative
Five Central Asian countries are five countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt under the"Belt and Road"development framework, and have increasingly deepened their agricultural cooperation with China in recent years. The agricultural production in five Central Asian countries involves agricultural product trade, agricultural infrastructure, investment project cooperation, technical cooperation, and human capital, from which China and Central Asia take deep agricultural cooperation. This paper explores some problems which effects agricultural cooperation between China and Central Asia:lack of prominent agricultural advantages, lagging agricultural market development, imperfect protection and support systems in the agricultural field, and single agricultural development models.Based on this, four suggestions are proposed for enhancing agricultural cooperation between China and the five Central Asian countries:emphasizing complementary advantages and expanding agricultural cooperation channels, relying on multilateral mechanisms to formulate agricultural cooperation standards, ensuring food security and establishing risk prevention mechanisms, and innovating development models and integrating agriculture and related industries.
