The Establishment of the Political System of Modern Western Nation-States and Its Cultural Hegemony
The political system of modern western bourgeois nation-state is a historical process of colonial expansion and the establishment of the so-called democratic political system in the west.It was historically progressive, because it eliminated the feudal personal dependency and the political and economic privileges of the feudal lords, and established a modern society of a western-style bourgeois nation-state.It is manifested in slogans such as equality, freedom, democratic republic, etc. With the rise of the national liberation movement in Asia,Africa and Latin America, the political system of the Western-style nation-state has been absorbed by some Asian,African and Latin American countries and established a seemingly independent Asian-African and Latin American nation-state.This has become a tool for some Asian,African and Latin American countries to fight against Western imperialist hegemony. The Western-style political system cannot adapt to the political, economic and cultural traditions of Asian,African and Latin American nation-states.This contradiction has led to turbulence and even national failure in some newly independent countries in Asia,Africa and Latin America.Western imperialism, under the banner of the so-called advanced political system and political concept,is engaged in the affairs of Asian,African and Latin American countries. This is essentially the hegemony of Western colonial culture. Its purpose is to continue to oppress and exploit countries such as Asia,Africa and Latin America. This is the reason why some countries in Asia,Africa and Latin America failed in their modernization exploration.
