Strategies of Constructing Environmental Design Major Based on the Background of New Liberal Arts and the Intersection and Integration of Multiple Disciplines
Environmental design is an applied discipline with outstanding practicality,sociality,and systematicity.It not only requires students to have good cultural and aesthetic literacy and comprehensive design ability,but also to be able to coordinate,calculate,and analyze comprehensively.On the basis of mastering multiple subject knowledge,students can use design language to express their plans.Since the official launch of the New Liberal Arts Construction Project,various work contents aimed at the development of the new liberal arts have been fully deployed,and disciplinary interconnection has become a top priority.As a multidisciplinary interdisciplinary discipline,environmental design should fully utilize the new liberal arts context in professional construction,improve talent cultivation models based on professional talent cultivation needs,and promote the distinctive development of professional education.In this regard,taking the interdisciplinary integration characteristics of environmental design as the research focus,the causes,manifestations,and connotations of its interdisciplinary integration were analyzed.It is found that it shares similarities and differences with the multi-disciplinary and multidisciplinary collaboration advocated by the new liberal arts.For further enhancing the quality of professional talent cultivation,relevant strategies are proposed,such as adhering to the improvement of professional construction concepts and curriculum systems in the context of the new liberal arts.
