The Book of Jin named the ethnography"Siyi",officially establishing the"Siyi Systematic Narrative"of Chinese historical literature.The generation of the concept of"Siyi"can be traced back to the Abdication System,which lasts for three generations and gets ultimately established simultaneously with the Zhou Dynasty People's understanding of"the king in the middle".The reason for shaping the"Siyi"system is,on the one hand,due to the lack of understanding of the geographical world by the People from the Zhou Dynasty,which blurs the boundaries of the"Tianxia"concept;On the other hand,it is closely related to their criteria for dividing the Yi and Xia regions.
