A Historical Examination of the Forms of Ideological and Political Education
Human development and social development are contradictory and unified.Ideological and political education,which arises from the contradiction between human development and social development,exhibits different forms and directions as the contradiction evolves.In primitive society,human development is consistent with social development.Ideological and political education,in its original form,promotes the socialization and enhancement of human cognitive thinking,directly aimed at maintaining the overall survival and reproduction of the clan.In a class society,human development and social development present a class antagonistic contradiction.Ideological and political education promotes the socialization of human thinking from the perspective of maintaining the interests of the ruling class.Ideological and political education is classified and instrumentalized,directly targeting the maintenance of class ruling interests.In socialist society,the contradiction between social development and human development has transformed from an antagonistic contradiction to a non-antagonistic contradiction.Ideological and political education,in its true form,can promote comprehensive human development through political orientation,value guidance,spiritual construction,and personality improvement.
