Since the 18th National Congress of the Party,the disciplinary construction has been gradually deepened regarding regional and national studies,which is included into interdisciplinary first-level subject directory in 2022.That indicates the new stage of disciplinary construction.At present,the three major tasks regarding the disciplinary construction of regional and national disciplines go as the following:adhering to basic theories and serve the national strategy,promoting academic research and publishing,and cultivating multi-level talents.In the meanwhile,local colleges and universities should play an important role in serving national diplomacy,promoting discipline innovation,giving play to local characteristics,and cultivating compound talents.In the next 5-10 years,local universities should focus on promoting interdisciplinary construction,strengthen practice-oriented,strengthen international cooperation,and strive to build an independent knowledge system of regional and national studies with Chinese characteristics.
