As a carrier and an inseparable part of literature and art,language style is an important symbol reflecting the aesthetic style of literary works.In the past,the study of The Old Man and the Sea mainly focused on the language style and aesthetic style from two different perspectives,but rarely combined the two perspectives.The Old Man and the Sea embodies a high literary value and a very high linguistic value as well.These values are cleverly integrated by Hemingway,who is both a master of linguistics and a master of literature.Therefore,analyzing the aesthetic style of the works from the perspective of language features can better show the composition of the aesthetic style of the work,a better illustration of the author's legendary life into which he blends his tough-guy personality.
