The Tang dynasty is considered to be the starting point for the rapidly-developing tea poetry in our country with no less than 600 tea-praising poems.The paper analyzes the internal and external causes for the arise of tea poetry in Tang dynasty,try to comb the development trace in the early and middle and later period of The Tang dynasty and to elaborate the characteristics of the tea poetry in the Tang dynasty,and summarize tea ideology contained in tea culture.The ancient tea ceremony thought contains the intellectual's psychological changes,cultural evolution,thinking and life interest,which manifests the unique life-care and aesthetic temperament and interest of Chinese tea culture.
