Analysis of the Contribution of Overseas Chinese Groups to the Construction of Bilateral Relations between China and the Dominican Republic
The invasion of Western colonizers caused"productivity oppression of the population"in modern China,so some landless farmers were forced to move abroad.The widespread establishment of connections among the Western bourgeoisie forced the Dominican Republic to integrate into the capitalist economic system.After the devastating extinction of the local indigenous population,colonizers in the Dominican Republic had to introduce foreign populations.The similar historical experiences of both sides became a foundation for the friendly integration of overseas Chinese into the Dominican Republic.Because generation and generation of overseas Chinese were familiar with the history,culture,and customs of the motherland and the Dominican Republic,they have become the bridge to promote economic cooperation,to increase political mutual trust,and to achieve cultural integration between China and the Dominican Republic.The formal establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Dominican Republic and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on"the Belt and Road"cooperation had opened a new chapter in the friendly relations between the two sides.In the future,the overseas Chinese community can still contribute to develop healthy relations of China and Dominican Republic.
