Role Expectations and Influencing Factors of Paternity Passive Absence——Research Based on Different Stages of Underage Children
Production imbalance strengthens the role division of the couple in dual-income families,and paid economy has catalyzed father passive absence.Although the father of the first marriage family hopes to participate in the growth of underage children,he has to be passively absent in paternity due to job transfer,marriage breakdown,or lack of economic resources,which result from that fact that he wants provide better material living conditions for underage children.In this paper,unstructured interviews were conducted by selecting 12 families where there is long-term paternity passive absence.The study discusses the wife's expectation of fatherhood in different stages of children's growth,such as infancy,preschool and adolescent stages of the underage children,and sorts out the factors influencing the passive absence of fatherhood as follows:family structure and child development,socio-cultural and gender concepts,individual attitude and willingness,external environment and social support.It aims to explore the role expectation and influencing factors of paternity passive absence from the perspective of sociology.
