The Challenge of Community Consciousness of the Chinese Nation in Russia——Based on Ethnography on Chinese students in City of Tomsk
The community consciousness of the Chinese nation is viewed as the deep identity and the manifestation of belonging for the nation ethnic identity,as well as a symbol of national cohesion and centripetal force.Taking Chinese students of various ethnic groups in Tomsk,Russia as an example,this study,using the field work method,investigates the relatively weak national identity and belonging of some Chinese overseas students,including the lack of understanding of national culture and national policies,disunity caused by various factors,and inactively participating in collective activities.This paper analyzes the reasons for students'weak consciousness of the Chinese national community:cultural acculturation and cultural shock,the psychological impact of geographical and transportation factors,and the false propaganda of overseas media during the period of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.In order to enhance national identity and belonging of Chinese overseas students,the paper puts forward the countermeasures regarding the individual,family and society.
