On the Collaborative Development of Industries in the Fuzhou Metropolitan Area——Based on Location Quotient and Grey Relational Degree
Fuzhou metropolitan area has a great influence in the industrial collaborative development.This study investigates the location quotient and grey relational degree of eight industries across four cities within the metropolitan from the perspective of location quotient.The study reveals the following findings:the eight cities within the Fuzhou metropolitan area exhibit diverse characteristics in industrial agglomeration advantages;Fuzhou,with its strong performance in the secondary and tertiary industries,serves as a crucial engine for regional economic development;Ningde,Nanping,and Putian have their outstanding advantages in fields such as industry,construction and transportation storage,and real estate;grey relational degree analysis further reveals the similarities and differences in industrial structure between the cities and the overall metropolitan area.Based on these findings,this study concludes that the cities within the Fuzhou metropolitan area exhibit a coexistence of industrial diversification and differentiation,with the core city playing a significant leading role,and that there is an urgent need for industrial layout optimization and necessary policy and strategic support.
