RESEARCH AND PRACTICE OF USING CARBON POWDER IN SLAG-MAKING PROCESS FOR LF FURNACE

根据首钢迁钢公司冶炼双联钢种的工艺特点,分析讨论了在造渣过程中加入适量碳粉对炉渣发泡性能的影响,基于此开发了LF炉碳粉造渣工艺.通过开展工业生产试验,定量描述了碳粉加入量与钢中氧含量、钢中碳含量、电极升温效率之间的关系.试验结果表明,LF炉冶炼升温钢种时,加入适量碳粉作为发泡剂,碳粉可与精炼渣和钢中的氧反应,有效促使精炼渣发泡,发泡率最大可达 125.7%,同时能够改善电极埋弧效果,提升电能利用率.所加碳粉与钢中氧反应可降低钢中的氧含量,在加入总量≤80 kg的条件下,不会影响钢液成分.
According to the process characteristics of Shougang Qiangang Company for smelting duplex steel,the carbon powder slagging process of LF furnace is developed by using the foaming properties of carbon powder in the slagging process of LF furnace.At the same time,the effects of carbon powder addition on the oxygen content in steel,carbon content in steel and the heating efficiency of the electrode were studied through industrial production experiments.The test results show that when LF furnace smelts heating-up steel,adding appropriate amount of carbon powder to react with refining slag and oxygen in steel can effectively promote refining slag foaming,improve electrode submerged arc effect,and improve electric energy utilization rate.At the same time,the reaction between the added carbon powder and the oxygen in the steel can reduce the oxygen content in the steel,and the composition of the molten steel will not be affected under the condition that the total amount added is≤80 kg.
