In view of the problem of pitted surface of hot-rolled H-shaped steel,by observing the macroscopic and microscopic morphology of the defects,it was analyzed that the causes of pitted surface defects were not timely removed from the pressed product surface during rolling, the rolling compression ratio was small, and the grain was not sufficiently refined. Therefore, the methods of optimizing heating process, modifying preforming and universal rolling procedures, adding phos-phorus removal device and composition design are put forward to effectively control the surface defects of hot-rolled H-shaped steel, improve product surface quality and customer satisfaction.
