Based on the Chinese industry standard, the welding adaptability evaluation of Q420NC steel for wind turbine tower cylinder at Anyang Steel was conducted using the GMAW+SAW new welding process commonly used for tower drum welding. Before welding, the mechanical properties of the welding test plate were tested, and after welding, the mechanical properties of the welded joint were tested, and fatigue limit tests were conducted. The test results showed that the various properties of the welded joint met the relevant standard requirements for pressure equipment welding process evaluation, and the fatigue limit curve was obtained through fatigue limit tests at a stress ratio of 0.5.When the loading cycle base was set to 107 times, the ultimate fatigue stress of the welded joint was approximately 255 MPa,and when the survival rate was 97.7%,its ultimate fatigue stress was approximately 205 MPa.
