BASIC CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATION OF IRON CONTAINING DUST FROM STEEL PLANTS
Through the analysis of the composition, output, particle size, morphology and other characteristics of various iron-containing dust generated during sintering,coking,iron-making,steel-making,steel rolling and other processes, the comprehensive application of sintering dust and steel-making dust in the internal self-circulation of steel plants is introduced. The yield of long-process steel-making dust is 70~90 kg/t steel,of which the dust yields from sintering, coking, blast furnace and steel-making processes account for 36.3%,7.1%,32.4% and 24.2% respectively. The cold-solid pressure ball of dust is used as a substitute for return ore in the converter as a coolant and slagging material. The early slagging and slagging effects are good, and the use of 1 kg/t cold-solid pressure ball can reduce the steel material in the converter by 0.3~0.5 kg/t.However,as the amount of cold-solid pressure ball increases, the dephosphorization ability of converter slag significantly decreases.
