QUALITY EVALUATION ON PURCHASED STEEL BILLETS AND ITS APPLICATION
A steel plant has solved the problem of mismatched production capacity between steelmaking and rolling by purchasing purchased steel billets.However,surface and internal quality defects often occur during the use of purchased steel billets.By evaluating the quality of purchased steel billets from various manufacturers based on their chemical composition,mechanical properties,surface quality,and other factors,and comparing them with our own supplied billets,in order to ensure that the quality of purchased steel billets can be effectively controlled during use,manufacturers with stable quality are selected to supply billets,and suitable production lines,varieties and specifications for rolling are arranged.This can provide guidance for the procurement of purchasedsteel billets,reduce the production of defective products during the production process,and greatly improve product quality and economic efficiency.
