EFFECT OF ROLLING TEMPERING PROCESS ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF Q690ZM PLATE
Through controlled rolling, online quenching and critical zone reverse tempering treatment, the final microstructure of medium manganese steel is tempered martensite and metastable residual austenite. However, the tempering temperature and time have a significant impact on the internal element diffusion, microstructure evolution, residual austenite content and stability, mechanical properties of medium manganese steel.Due to the lower alloy content used in Q690ZM medium manganese steel compared to traditional hot-rolled medium manganese steel, the cost has been greatly reduced. However,in order to meet the strength requirements, the changes in its microstructure and mechanical properties,as well as the strengthening and toughening mechanism, were studied.Suitable rolling and tempering processes were adopted to ultimately meet the steel standards for engineering machinery.
