Reconsideration of Piyue Syndrome from Theory of"Zang Fu Bie Tong"
"Piyue syndrom"was proposed for the first time in Shang Han Lun·Bian Yang Ming Bing Mai Zheng Bing Zhi,which says:"Taiyang disease induced Yangming disease is Piyue syndrome".The pathogenesis of Piyue syndrome includes strong Stomach and weak Spleen theory, strong Spleen and Stomach theory and Spleen yin deficiency theory, and so on,which have been discussed differently throughout the ages."Zang Fu Tong Yue",which was first proposed in Yi Xue Ru Men,is a high-level summary of the relationship be-tween the Zang and Fu.The theory suggests that the Spleen and the Small intestine are connected.According to the theory of"Zang Fu Bie Tong",combined with the performance of Piyue syndrome and the specific function of the Small intestine.By analyzing the treatment of Piyue syndrome, which is treated with Xiaochengqi Decoction and Maziren Pill,it can be seen as follows:The phenomenon of partial seepage of Fluid analyzed in Shang Han Lun is caused by abnormal functioning of the Small intestine;Xiaocheng Qi Decoction can be used for Piyue syndrome in which the Spleen yin is still abundant, while Maziren Pill is suitable for Piyue syndrome in which the Spleen Yin is insufficient.
