Zhang Zhen,National Master of Chinese Medicine,based on the theory of"dredging and regulating Qi activity"and the con-cept of"one body with two wings",believed that Qi dysfunction is the symptom of post-stroke cognitive dysfunction,and Spleen and Kidney dysfunction is the root of post-stroke cognitive dysfunction.Dysfunction of the Liver,Spleen and Kidney leads to Phlegm and blood stasis,while damage to the"Hun,Yi and Zhi"further aggravates the post-stroke cognitive dysfunction.It is suggested that in treatment of this disease,the Liver Qi activity should be regulated,the Spleen Qi should be strengthened to nourish the Spleen,the nur-ture respect of man,the Essence and marrow should be filled to strengthen the Kidney,the nature respect of man.Take both the symp-toms and the root cause into account to harmonize the internal Zang and Fu organ,so that the disease will be cured and the Shen(spir-it)of man will be at peace.
